Increasing number of International Visitors staying at Aston Road Villa

International Visitors are enjoying the ‘Home away from home’ approach that Aston Road Villa where we showcase ‘Rural New Zealand’. Our accommodation is located off the beaten track and tucked away privately on the Kapiti Coast just a 50 minute drive north of Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Our property is managed sustainability and we are looking to increase this further in 2025.

We have received some excellent comments (5 star ratings) on our location and many clients have wished that they stayed for an extra night just to wind down from their travels.

Aston Road Villa is well suited for the travel trend of JOMO (Joy Of Missing Out) for 2025 where travellers are wanting to escape the busy tourist destinations and retreat to more local experiences.

Native Tree Seedlings being Rescued

When we acquired 38 Aston Road in 2004, it was always our goal to manage the property organically and chemical free. Over the past 10 years we have created an environment that supports New Zealand’s native birds and creates an environment that allows bees to flourish.

With over 3,000 trees that have been planted since 2014 we are now seeing birds spreading native seedlings all over our property. These seedlings are being rescued, re-potted and given away to community and friends.

Our combined plantings have now created safe corridors for our native birds to travel from the coast to the inland safe and predator free sanctuaries.

Donating Trees to Trees that Count - Reducing our Carbon Footprint

We have been donating to Trees That Count since 2022. We have funded 87 native trees so far. These trees will help to remove about 19.24 tonnes of carbon dioxide from our atmosphere over 50 years.

We let Trees That Count choose where the greatest need is and we have supported 27 planting projects throughout New Zealand.

Every native tree we fund is planted in a restoration project on New Zealand shores. This is improving water quality, protecting land from erosion, enhancing biodiversity and creating shared green spaces.
